She will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends as a beautiful and caring woman and will be greatly missed by all.
A celebration of her life for family and close friends will be held in Saturday January 12, 2008 at 1:00pm at Eaglequest Coyote Creek Golf Course. Please come and share your memories about Kris. In lieu of flowers, donations to the BC Cancer Agency of the Canadian Diabetic Association would be appreciated.

The Cosmetology Industry Association of BC joins with many of it's members to send their deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Dean Ryane who passed away on September 5, 2006.
Excerpts from the island WORD, written by Joanna Finch and published October 2006:
Dean Ryane's contributions to his communities were immense. He was an amazing hairdresser and the owner of 3 salons over the years. He was President of the BC Hairdressers Association, and not only competed in the World Championships in hairdressing, but also was a judge at one of those championships. He and his then partner bred and showed whippets. He stayed involved locally while working hair in the local movie industry. In about 1997, he was given the title of Imperial Queen Mother for Life, for his support and knowledge of the Court system. A favourite quote of many over the years attending a Coronation Ball, Pageant or other such event - "Is that a Dusty Do?" - his hair creations instantly recognizable as a Dusty Up Do.
