APPRENTICES
The apprenticeship program allows students to earn a salary while learning the trade. Within the British Columbian cosmetology industry, only hairdressers and barbers can be apprentices.
If you are interested in this program you can apply for your Apprentice Permit Card, by completing the Apprentice Permit Card Application Form and sending it along with the $25 registration fee to the BeautyCouncil office. BeautyCouncil is currently negotiating with salons to take on apprentices and hopes to have a list of salons shortly. In the interim, it is the applicant's responsibility to find an interested salon for the 2-year apprenticeship program.
