formed by the Cosmetology Industry Association of British Columbia (formerly
Canada's National Association of the OMC).

Canadian Cosmetologist Competition National Association (CCCNA)
CCCNA, formed by CIABC in 2006, was Canada's National Association of Organisation Mondiale Coiffure. Directorship of the CCCNA has been transferred to another party. More details will be published as we receive them.

Skills Canada BC is a provincial not-for-profit agency led by passionate volunteers and skilled staff who actively promote careers in the skilled trades and technologies to BC youth as sources of meaningful work and vital components to a strong provincial economy. Their exciting activities and programs are designed to encourage the exploration of career choices and options while supporting the roles of educational institutions and teachers. Many employers contribute time, expertise and resources to ensure events are relevant and fun.
In recent years, CIABC offered sponsorship and training for Member schools and students for Hair, Esthetics and Nails. Sponsorship included products for training and competition, mannequins, expenses for National Competition and administration costs.

On February 26th 1998, the government of New Brunswick introduced and passed the Cosmetology Association of New Brunswick Act. This new Act encompasses all aspects of the beauty industry including mandatory licensing under one organization. The Association is a non-profit organization with a mandate to promote and improve the education and training of its members and to maintain efficient and sanitary service and facilities for the public.
